Desperation

"My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." ~Psalms 83:10

That probably describes the state of my heart this past week. I was so overwhelmed with all the homework, marks, the church event to plan for that I shut Him out near the end of the week. Bad idea. It's like how I tend to skip meals when I'm stressed, it just makes me weaker and even more stressed. Trying to plan and run an event for God without God, is stupid; it doesn't work. I even skipped campus alpha :(
I was reminded of how much I always try rely on myself. My week wouldn't have been so stressed if I let my committee members know and got them to help me out a bit. If I didn't try to do a 'group' lab report all by myself. If I had just shared my worries with YHWH; and didn't hold onto them like dead weights.
With that said, here's a favorite quote of mine from Jesus:
"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" ~Luke 12:25-26
Apparently adding time to your life is a very small task for the son of God.
